Sellick Forklifts Oregon
After a long connection with a dealer of Ford Tractors, Walter Sellick started to build his own company by modifying a tractor that was supplied by Ford Tractor. He transformed it into a 6000 pound lift truck that could be used outdoors. What is now regarded as the turn-around tractor series consists of a mast and a counterweight design and basic sub-frame.
The heavy duty lifts have changed in their design and construction. During 1975, an essential one-piece frame concept was introduced across all model lines. The standard Ford Tractor power train became retrained as the basic power module for the majority of units. The market was for Sellick straight mast rough terrain lift trucks were well established. The state of the art technology combined with the new design paved the way to vastly increased sales during the beginning of the 1980s.
One more new component was added to all machinery during the year 1987. Featured in this series was the Perkins, Continental and Ford engine options which came with shift-on-the-go transmissions. In addition, the low profile SG Series and the SD series along with the See Thru roller masts came onto the market. The introduction of the 12,000 pound SD Series in the latter part of the 1990s along with the optional fully automatic Power-shift transmission featured the technology for the new millennium.
The TMF-55 Truck Mounted Lift Truck was launched in 1995. This equipment features 5500 pound capacity. This particular model is powered by a choice of Perkins or Deutz diesel engine. This specific design greatly reduces turn-around time to a minimum and vastly maximizes the complete delivery system-trailer, truck and driver. The TMF-55 simply and easily loads itself on the back of a truck or a trailer. This design eliminates the need for towing a trailer and saves huge cargo space.
During 2002, Sellick Equipment Limited became North America's sole distributer of the JCB Teletruck. This flexible reach industrial lift truck helps to fill out the material handling products selection. It offers a unique forward reach and supreme versatility.
Sellick launched the ergonomically friendly S Series Forklift during the year 2004. This unit had a huge emphasis on operator comfort and safety. The business has launched top of the line forklift design and a new era of manufacturing.
