CareLift Equipment has been designing and building quality rough terrain forklifts ever since the year 1962. Each day the company strives to help all their customers reach their objectives and deliver value since they know the bottom line is dependability and performance.
There are 2 general kinds of boom lifts. These models are straight boom lifts and articulated boom lifts. Usually, these models are hydraulically powered. Most commonly straight booms are the great alternative for jobs that need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment is capable of rotating three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom could be vertically raised to below horizontal. As the operator is able to steer and maneuver the vehicle while the boom is completely extended, it is a versatile machinery. These units are available in propane, gas or diesel configurations as well as 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise not accessible. These lift models perform jobs which straight telescopic booms cannot complete. These lifts are practically like the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move easily around any objects within the work environment.
Some heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers so as to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is fully extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Proper training is required before operating boom lifts so as to ensure the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for jobs needing many man power to be completed in a lot less time. These machinery have greatly increased production and have changed the material handling industry.
