Genie Knuckle boom lifts are strong four wheel drive and four wheel steering capable machinery which allow work to be done effectively, even if the terrain is rough. The ALC 1000 electronic controls are a menu-based system that allows the user to easily calibrate the equipment and its components. System diagnostics are available in various languages. On the Z-80/60 unit, there are dual fuel options available. The optional Deutz diesel powered engine is quiet, but turbocharged. It allows for improved performance at higher altitudes. It also carries more than enough torque for better grade-ability and terrain.
Improved traction for tough terrain is due to full-time positive traction and four-wheel drive. The Z-135/70 is available with four-wheel steering. Optional features on this model comprise crab, coordinated, rear wheel and front wheel steering to give the equipment added agility. on the Z-80/60 helps improve wheel contact on uneven ground. Genie's engine-powered articulating Z-booms are larger than any other Genie units. They feature a continuous 360 degree turntable rotation and telescoping jibs that are engineered to give the user a much better range of motion and reach. The design of the Z-boom gives the units outstanding over and up positioning capability that ranges from 8.83 meters on the Z-80/60 unit to 23.01 meters on the Z-135/70 unit. The XChassis expanding axle is an ingeniously designed device used for extending and retracting axles out and in of stowed position. If the axle is stowed the width of the Z-135/70 unit machine is only 2.46 meters. The Z-80/60 has fixed width axles for easier transport.
