Hillsboro, Oregon is situated in the states Washington County. It is likewise part of the Portland metropolitan area and has an estimated population of around 91,600. Various high-technology corporations make up what is referred to in the area as the Silicon Forest.

The Tualatin Valley was originally inhabited by the Kalapuya's Atfalati tribe for thousands of years.
