Kalmar Reach Stackers

Kalmar Reach Stackers

Intermodal handling or IH unit reach stackers are more conventional machinery, while container handling or CH models are made specifically for container stacking use up to 3-rows deep and 6-high. These various versions enable numerous types of tasks to be done.

Reach stackers are engineered and designed to create maximum space use in container terminals. Moreover, they offer superior maneuverability, unrestricted stacking capabilities and exceptional handling speeds.

This equipment is available with standard oil-immersed brakes, a clean running, modern Diesel engine, advanced auto-shift transmission and robust drive-axle. All of these features combine in order to maintain total reliability and maximum production in tough applications during operation.

The engine and transmission protection systems combine to offer standard reliable operation, along with oil-immersed brakes. The operator cabs on these models feature a large range of standard ergonomic features, as well as exceptional container visibility in different operating circumstances. The models that have an increased wheelbase and stabilizers provide increased capacity handling. These equipment require a strong frame and solid boom construction in order to handle the high capacity handling operation. Easy service and an engine shutdown function minimizes service time and cost and facilitates service access.

There are few locations which place such heavy demands on container handling like ports, terminals and transport hubs. These locations need very durable and efficient machines. The company knows what it actually takes to be able to handle laden and empty containers effectively for unloading, loading and stacking between road truck, railcar and terminal.

Normally, empty container trucks are known to work at a high pace. These machinery place rigorous demands on both efficiency and speed. Trucks based on the newest technology are capable of lifting and handling containers with the highest stability and speed.
