Skyjack Boom Lifts

Skyjack Boom Lifts

Skyjack started to make scissor lift platforms back in 1986. The company continued to make their product through the 1990s, becoming a global leader in the aerial lift industry sector. Eventually, Skyjack grew to over 30 percent market share overall. Even today, the company maintains their dominance as a major player who has quickly adapted to the changing face of the industrial machinery industry.

Factors like their commitment to reliability and quality have been important to Skyjacks solid reputation. They are known worldwide as being the manufacturer of the best scissor lifts within the world. The Skyjack product series is manufactured and sold all over the globe.

Skyjack was purchased by Linamar Corporation, LNR on the TSX in August 2002. Linamar is recognized for being a leading manufacturer of modules, assemblies and precision-machined parts. Linamar's solid balance sheet offers Skyjack with long-term stability and increased strength in general. Skyjack currently has production facilities within the USA, Oregon and Hungary with support offices within Asia and Europe.

The company offers a comprehensive line of self-propelled scissor lifts. Some models have elevated work heights up to 56ft. Skyjack became a leader within the business by providing machinery features which combined serviceability, durability, service and quality, making Skyjack scissor lifts known throughout the world for product reliability. The existing Boom lift model lineup of the company consists of telescopic booms. These models provide telescopic booms that feature work heights ranging from 45 to 71 feet. The company plans further expand the boom lift product line in the future.

The acquisition of Volvo's Material Handling Equipment business in the month of August the year 2007 complements the products obtained in the acquisition of Carelift Equipment. These acquisitions have improved Skyjack's Telehandler product offering in both the Zoom Boom series and the VR series telehandlers. These acquisitions provide the company a chance to grow with the additional manufacturing capacity. Skyjack continues to lead the way within the business, providing dependable lift solutions.
